The family firm NOBA Vetveredeling B.V. was established in 1950. Since 1962 the company's base, including production and storage facilities, has been in Raasdorperweg, Lijnden, in the Netherlands.

In the early years NOBA sold its products to a variety of different industries. These included pet foods, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and soap and candle manufacturing. In the 1960s, as a result of changes in the market, the company began to focus upon the compound feeds sector.
